Help Desk

The Computer Services Help Desk is situated at Block B. The staff manning this desk will be able to help you with any technical or software problems that you may have while working on the computers at the Library and the computer laboratories. If you have a problem during your lecture in thecomputer laboratories, you should approach your lecturer.

Drop-in Facilities and Open Lab

The drop-in facilities are available in the Library on a first-come-first serve basis. Even so, each student will have a maximum of two (2) hours to use the computer. Printing is also available in the library and is free of charge, provided that you bring your own paper. Should the computers in the library be insufficient, you may request to open a lab with a minimum number of ten students requesting this facility.

Computer Labs

  • The department is made up of several different disciplines encompassing network management, hardware maintenance, information and training as well as technical support.
  • All PCs in the computer labs have DVD/CD ROM drives and front USB ports so portable devices can be used.
